Sushil Kumar Gaikwad, a senior police officer, suffered a cardiac arrest while traveling to work. Despite feeling fine the night before, he collapsed en route to the Kurar police station. His colleagues quickly rushed him to a local hospital, but he was pronounced dead. Gaikwad had just taken charge of the police station in July this year. He was in his mid-fifties and had no known heart ailments.
