This decision was influenced by opposition from notable political factions such as BJP, UBT Shiv Sena, and Congress. Municipal commissioner Ashwini Bhide reassured that the focus will remain on the removal of dangerous encroachments, with ongoing efforts directed at unsafe slum structures.
