CM Fadnavis congratulates PM Modi on completing 25 years in govt

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on completing 25 years as the head of a government, describing his tenure as one focused on dedication, development and human welfare.

Speaking to reporters in Mumbai, Fadnavis said that under Modi’s leadership, India and its economy had moved from the “Fragile Five” to the “Top Five” over the last 12 years. Modi has served continuously as the head of government since October 7, 2001, first as Gujarat chief minister for three terms and later as the prime minister after leading the BJP to victory in three Lok Sabha elections.

Fadnavis highlights development and poverty reduction

According to PTI, Fadnavis said Modi’s 25 years in public life at the helm of governments had been marked by efforts to take the country towards a new phase of development.

“These 25 years have been years of dedication, development, human welfare and taking India towards a new horizon.”

Fadnavis also pointed to the government’s claim that 25 crore people have been brought out of poverty, calling it a significant achievement during Modi’s tenure.

He said the prime minister had once again set the goal of building a developed India by 2047 and urged people to work towards achieving that target.

“Today, once again, he has given us the resolve of a Viksit Bharat by 2047. We have taken the slogan – ‘We will do it’,” he said.

‘Seva Sankalp Yatra’ to continue

Congratulating Modi on behalf of Maharashtra, Fadnavis said the prime minister had provided dedicated leadership to the country over the past 12 years.

He also said the ‘Seva Sankalp Yatra’ would continue, reiterating the commitment towards the goal of a developed India by 2047.

Fadnavis concluded his remarks by repeating the resolve to achieve the target.

“We will build a developed India in 2047. We will do it,” Fadnavis added.

Modi began his tenure as Gujarat chief minister on October 7, 2001. He later became prime minister in 2014 and has since won three consecutive Lok Sabha elections, continuing as the country’s prime minister.

He said the journey would continue with renewed focus on national development.
