A fire broke out a commercial building in Andheri East in suburban Mumbai on Monday afternoon, civic officials said, adding that no injuries were reported in the incident.
The blaze was but was quickly brought under control, they said.
According to the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB), the incident was reported at 12:30 pm at Lokshahi, a ground-plus-three structure located on MIDC Central Road, opposite Akruti Centre Point and above Kotak Mahindra Bank.
The blaze had erupted on the third floor of the building. Fire officials classified it as a Level-I (minor) fire incident and deployed teams to the spot. The flames were successfully extinguished by 3:10 pm, the MFB said.
No casualties or injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
