Rapper and music producer Yo Yo Honey Singh has paid a heartfelt tribute to legendary composer A.R. Rahman. In his latest Instagram post, Honey Singh shared that he has got a tattoo in honour of the legendary music composer. He shared a video of himself getting inked. He also called Rahman a “living legend”, expressing his deep respect for the maestro’s contribution to the Indian music industry.

In the video shared on Instagram, the 42-year-old is seen getting a tattoo on his right shoulder blade as he sings Rahman’s popular track Tu Hi Re, while getting his autograph tattooed. He also said, “This is for my love for the lovely legend Mr. A.R. Rahman. I love you sir. This is for you. Thank you for blessing me with your music. You are the reason why I am a musician today. I love you forever.”
Along with the video, he wrote, “My third tattoo in one night for my lovely living legend @arrahman sir !! I love you sir thank you for everything.”
Yo Yo`s admiration for AR Rahman
Notably, Honey Singh has often vocally expressed his admiration for AR Rahman, whom he refers to as the ‘God of Music’. Back in 2022, a video of him falling at Rahman`s feet during an award function had gone viral. Later in 2023, during an interview, he said that it’s his dream to collaborate with the iconic music composer. He also said that together, they can aim for a Grammy. He told The Bombay Journey, “This is my dream. It might take 10-12 years more for me to achieve it, I want to produce a song and I want AR Rahman sir to sing the song. I’m sure that I will get a Grammy for that song and AR Rahman will give me that award.”
Honey Singh recently released his music video Teri Yaadein, featuring actress Nargis Fakhri and international artist Grini. The track is from his album Glory, which marked the singer`s return as a music producer and featured songs in 10 different languages.
