While issuing the release, the Mumbai Division of the Central Railway gave out the detailed information on the work that has been carried out during the period starting from January 2025 and ending in August 2025.

To ease movement across busy stations in Mumbai, the Mumbai Division of the Central Railways stated that 10 new escalators were installed at Karjat, Tilak Nagar, Mankhurd, Vikhroli, and Vangani stations. Moreover, nine lifts were commissioned at Govandi, Khardi, Sewri, Shelu, and Chunabhatti stations.

Considering that safety and facilities for the commuters are their top priority, the Central Railways also asserted that the improved ticketing and train tracking system has always been the priority of the authorities.

To ensure that commuters do not have to go through the hassle of standing in long queues for the ticket or waiting for the train, the Central Railway installed new train and platform indicators at several suburban stations, including Ghansoli, Rabale, Airoli, Vashi, Belapur, Kharkopar, Bamandongri, and Khandeshwar.
