Actor–producer Saqib Saleem took to his social media handles to share the trailer of the upcoming film Single Salma. The film stars Huma Qureshi, Shreyas Talpade, and Sunny Singh in prominent roles. Saqib, who has produced the film introduced the premise with a thought-provoking note that challenges society’s obsession with marriage.

Along with the trailer of the film, Saqib wrote, “Shaadi. The full stop society keeps putting at the end of every woman’s sentence. Like if you’re not married, toh story adhuri hai. If you are, toh happily ever after likh diya jaata hai. But what if life isn’t a checklist of pheras/nikah and photo albums? What if ek ladki like Salma wants to write her own ending… ya maybe not end it at all? That’s the heart of Single Salma. The trailer introduces audiences to a 33-year-old Salma Rizvi (Huma Qureshi) who is finally wanting to settle down into a arrange marriage setup with Sikandar (Shreyas Talpade), but life throws her into an unexpected love in London with Meet (Sunny Singh). What follows is a laugh out clash of two cities, two cultures, two baraatis culminating in one unforgettable wedding night. But the question still remains who will change the relationship status of Salma?
Saqib Saleem on producing a film
Earlier he had shared his first real experience producing a film, “This one will always be special. It came before Saleem Siblings was even born, back when I was just figuring things out on the ground. That’s where I learnt how tough, messy, and magical it is to build a film — my first real taste of producing, with all its chaos, responsibility, and joy. And now, to watch Single Salma take its first step out feels almost like sending a bride off with her full baraat — ek Salma, do balma, aur dher saare baraati, all set to reach your nearest theatre.”
