Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra seek permission to travel to London

As reported by Free Press Journal, Actor Shilpa Shetty and her businessman husband Raj Kundra have approached the Bombay High Court seeking suspension of the Look Out Circular (LOC) issued against them so they can visit Kundra’s ailing father in London.

According to the couple’s petition, Kundra’s father was diagnosed on November 10 with a chronic and unexplained iron-ammonia deficiency causing severe complications and blood loss. He has been advised a repeat capsule endoscopy or double-balloon enteroscopy. The plea states he has been experiencing recurrent episodes of breathlessness and his condition is deteriorating. The couple has sought permission to travel to London at the earliest, by January 20, 2026.

About the Rs 60 cr fraud case

In August, a case was filed against Shilpa Shetty, her husband Raj Kundra, and another person for allegedly cheating a businessman of over Rs 60 crore. Earlier in September, the EOW had issued a Look Out Circular against the Bollywood actor and her husband over allegations of a cheating case.

The complaint, filed by businessman Deepak Kothari, director of Lotus Capital Financial Services Ltd, claims the incidents took place between 2015 and 2023. Kothari alleged that the couple took the money under the pretext of expanding their business but used it for personal expenses instead.

The couple had approached the Bombay High Court in October seeking a temporary suspension of the LOC to enable them to travel abroad. However, the court refused their request, leading Shetty to cancel her trip. They again filed a plea to seek permission to travel to London and Dubai between December 20, 2025, and January 6, 2026, to meet Kundra’s parents.
