Navi Mumbai: Hidden camera found in Taloja farmhouse bathroom; manager arrested

On Monday (October 28) Taloja Police arrested a 35-year-old man, Manoj Chaudhary, who managed Riyansh Farmhouse in Dhansagar village, for allegedly recording obscene videos of women using a hidden spy camera installed in the farmhouse bathroom.

The case came to light when a woman staying at the farmhouse noticed a small light blinking in the washroom around 2 a.m. She immediately informed the farmhouse manager, only to discover him watching videos of women, including herself, on his mobile phone. Shocked, she reported the incident to Taloja Police Station, which promptly arrested the accused.

During the investigation, police recovered 17 videos from Chaudhary’s mobile phone. He also admitted to having deleted several others. Cyber experts are now attempting to retrieve the deleted footage.

Taloja Police Station Senior Inspector Pravin Bhagat confirmed that some of the videos involved minor girls, leading to the addition of POCSO Act (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act) charges against the accused.

Bhagat said, “The accused was produced before the Panvel Court and remanded to three days of police custody. We are also probing whether others were involved in the incident.”
