Mumbai and its suburbs will experience a partly cloudy sky with moderate rainfall through the day, according to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). Authorities have warned of the possibility of heavy rain during the evening and night hours across Mumbai and its suburban areas.
Meanwhile, tidal activity remains a concern with a high tide of 3.39 meters expected at 16:08 hrs on Sunday, September 14. This will be followed by a low tide of 1.21 meters at 22:23 hrs. On Monday, the first high tide is expected at 05:51 hrs, reaching 3.54 meters, with a low tide of 2.38 meters forecast at 12:18 hrs.

Between 8:30 AM on Saturday and 2:30 AM today, several parts of Mumbai recorded significant rainfall:
Santacruz recorded the highest rainfall at 64.6 mm
Bandra followed with 55.5 mm
Ram Mandir received 38.0 mm
Juhu logged 37.0 mm
Tata Power Chembur reported 36.5 mm
Colaba saw relatively less rain at 14.0 mm
Byculla recorded the lowest, with 13.0 mm
Citizens are advised to stay alert, especially during the high tide periods, and to avoid low-lying areas in case of waterlogging. The municipal authorities and disaster response teams remain on standby.
Meanwhile, Thane records 54.34 mm rainfall in last 24 hours.
According to the Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) of Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC), the city recorded 54.34 mm of rainfall over the last 24 hours, from 08:30 hrs on 13 September to 08:30 hrs on Sunday.
The rainfall remained negligible through most of the day with no significant precipitation recorded until 15:30 hrs, when 4.57 mm of rain was reported. After that, minor showers continued intermittently, with notable readings at:

19:30 hrs – 2.28 mm
20:30 hrs – 0.76 mm
23:30 hrs – 0.51 mm
Heavier rain was observed post-midnight, with:

With the latest addition, the total cumulative rainfall in Thane for the current monsoon season has reached 2760.93 mm, which is slightly below the corresponding total of 2972.48 mm recorded during the same period in 2024.
