Mumbai weather: City feels the nip as temps dip this week

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted cool and dry weather for Mumbai till next Tuesday, with minimum temperatures ranging from 15 and 18 degrees Celsius for Santacruz, and between 18 and 21 degrees Celsius for Colaba. Cold wave conditions have been predicted for Pune and its ghats today, and for Nashik today and on Friday. Nashik`s minimum temperature stood at 8.1 degrees on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, Santacruz recorded a minimum temperature of 16.7 degrees, a departure of -2.1 degrees C from normal, and Colaba recorded a minimum temperature of 20.7 degrees, a departure of -1 degrees.

Mumbai has recorded a wind speed ranging between 11 kmph to 18 kmph. On Sunday, Mumbai had recorded minimum temperatures of 20.3 degrees, which dropped to 18.4 degrees on Monday morning.

Coming days

According to forecasts from IMD, Mumbai is expected to record a minimum temperature of 15 degrees today and on Friday, and around 16 degrees on Saturday, indicating even colder weather than experienced by Mumbaikars in the first half of this week. The maximum temperature is expected to go up to 33 degrees with clear skies. Temperatures in Thane and Navi Mumbai are likely to be around 17 to 18 degrees over the next few days.
