Mumbai University (MU) has clarified that the winter examinations 2025, scheduled to begin from October 14, will be held as per the original timetable. The university issued the statement in response to a fake circular circulating on social media claiming that the exams had been postponed.
“The circular circulating online is completely false. Mumbai University has not issued any notice regarding a change in the exam schedule. All examinations from October 14, 2025, will take place as planned. Students and staff are urged not to believe or share such rumours,” the university stated.
The winter exams for Third-Year Semester 5 will be held for courses such as Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS), BCom (Accounting & Finance), BCom (Banking & Insurance), BCom (Financial Markets), BCom (Investment Management), BCom (Transport Management – FMG), and BCom-BMMS EME (Environmental Management and Economics).
All the exams will proceed according to the scheduled timetable, the university clarified.
Dr Pooja Raundale, director of examinations and evaluation, appealed to all the stakeholders to take note of the timetable and only follow official university notifications.
