Mahesh Manjrekar`s ex-wife and costume designer, Deepa Mehta, has died. Mahesh and Deepa`s son, Satya Manjrekar, took to social media to confirm Deepa`s death. Satya also shared a beautiful anecdote as condolences and tributes flooded in from friends and supporters.
Satya penned a heartfelt note
Satya uploaded a picture of his mother, Deepa, on his Instagram account and wrote a heartfelt note. He wrote, “Miss you mumma.”
Tributes flooded in for the deceased soul, and Satya reposted heartfelt remarks on Instagram. One person commented, “I lost a guiding light today. She was not just a mother, but also an inspiration. Her determination, boldness, and enthusiasm in starting her saree business inspired many females to dream big. She will live on via the people she touched and the paths she paved. Satya, I send you my prayers and strength. May her uplifting soul give you confidence.”
Another person said, “I was really heartbroken to learn of your mother`s death. She was a beautiful lady, and her memory will endure in our hearts. My heartfelt sympathy is with you.”

Mahesh Manjrekar and Deepa Mehta married in 1987. They had known each other since college days. The couple`s marriage, which began in 1987, terminated in 1995. They have a daughter and a boy, Ashwami and Satya Manjrekar.
After parting from Deepa, Mahesh married actress Medha Manjrekar, with whom he has a daughter, Saiee Manjrekar.
Mahesh Manjrekar is an accomplished Indian actor, director, writer, and producer best recognized for his work in Marathi and Hindi film. Born on August 16, 1958, in Mumbai, he began his career in theatre before moving on to films. Manjrekar rose to prominence as an actor through performances in films such as Vaastav: The Reality (1999), Astitva (2000), and Wanted (2009).
