Maharashtra to conduct unified Common Entrance Test from 2026-27

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell on Monday announced that from the academic year 2026-27, a single Common Entrance Test (CET) will be conducted for BHMCT and BCA, BBA, BMS and BBM courses.

The test will be titled MAH–B. HMCT/BCA/BBA/BMS/BBM–CET 2026, an official notification said on Monday.

The new CET will replace the two separate examinations previously held for BHMCT and BCA/BBA/BMS/BBM courses, it said.

According to the notification, the decision has been taken because these courses share common eligibility criteria, making a unified exam more suitable and beneficial for all candidates.

The duration of the MAH–B. HMCT/BCA/BBA/BMS/BBM–CET 2026 will be 120 minutes.

The syllabus for the test will be published on the official website for the reference of students, parents, and educational institutions, it further said.

The State CET Cell has urged all candidates, parents, and institutions to take note of these changes and prepare accordingly.
