Following heavy rains in parts Maharashtra, the state has postponed elementary drawing exams, officials said.
The decision was taken keeping in mind the safety of students after the local administration in some districts have declared a holiday for schools in districts witnessing heavy rains.
Parts of Maharashtra, especially Marathwada is witnessing flood situations.
Officials on Tuesday said that there have been heavy rains and cloudburst-like instances in some parts of Vidarbha and Western Maharashtra.
The Government Drawing (Elementary and Intermediate Drawing Grade A) examination papers to be conducted by the Maharashtra State Art Education Board in schools in districts from September 24, 2025 to September 27, 2025 were being postponed, they said.
In the districts where the said examinations will be postponed, a new schedule will be published on the website https://www.msbae.ac.in and on the link https://dge.msbae.in through a circular for conducting the said examinations separately in such districts, officials said.
“The instructions were being brought to the attention of all concerned teachers, students, parents, and participating schools at their respective levels,” officials said.
