An incident of misfiring has been reported in the Kalyan area of Thane district in Maharashtra on Thursday, October 10, in which two people have been injured.
According to police sources, a builder from Kalyan, identified as Mangesh Gaykar, was cleaning his gun when it accidentally misfired. A Maharashtra Police officer reported that the bullet hit Gaykar’s hand and then shattered the office glass. The broken glass injured his son, the police added.
Both the injured individuals are receiving treatment in Meera Hospital at Kalyan. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) and other officers have reached the hospital to probe the case further.
