Maharashtra BJP celebrates historic Bihar victory; hail PM Modi’s leadership

The state BJP held a grand celebration on Friday in Mumbai following the NDA’s landslide victory in the Bihar Assembly Elections under Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi’s leadership, as per a release.

BJP State President Ravindra Chavan congratulated Prime Minister Modi, BJP National President JP Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, JDU Chief and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and all NDA alliance leaders for the decisive win.

Speaking at the event, Chavan thanked Bihar voters for overwhelmingly supporting the NDA and ensuring its victory. Party workers raised slogans like “Bihar to jhanki hain, Mumbai abhi baki hain,” accompanied by drums and music, the release stated.

BJP leaders present at the event included MLA Kumar Ailani, State General Secretary MLC Vikrant Patil, state Spokesperson Atul Shah, Media Department Head Navnath Ban, Amarjit Mishra, and State Office Secretary Mukund Kulkarni. A large number of party workers had gathered for the event.

Chavan said the Bihar results reaffirm Prime Minister Modi’s enduring appeal and leadership.

“Every section of society in Bihar has benefited from the strong development work of the NDA government led by Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar,” he said, adding that the people have given a clear mandate in favour of the alliance.

He criticised Congress for its poor performance, noting that the party failed to even reach double digits in the elections.

“The people of Bihar have rejected Congress’s fake narrative. Rahul Gandhi’s attempts to spread panic and allegations of ‘vote chori’ have been proven baseless,” Chavan said, citing statistics from the Special Intensive Revision (SIR).

Looking ahead, he expressed confidence that the Modi government’s policies are driving progress across India and that the PM`s leadership will continue to make an impact nationally and internationally.

Chavan also linked the Bihar Election Results 2025 to Maharashtra’s upcoming local elections, highlighting Mumbai’s infrastructure development under the Centre and CM Devendra Fadnavis.

“The Mahayuti’s victory is crucial for Maharashtra’s future. We are confident that voters will support the alliance in local body elections, ensuring that public welfare schemes reach every citizen,” he said.

Bihar Election Results 2025: NDA celebrates with firecrackers, RJD headquarters in silence

As the Bihar Election Results 2025 rolled in on Friday, Patna’s Veerchand Patel Marg reflected two contrasting moods.

At one end, BJP and JD(U) offices buzzed like festival grounds, filled with drums, firecrackers, and the aroma of fresh laddoos. At the other end, RJD headquarters wore a heavy silence, with long faces, whispered conversations, and disbelief growing with every update from the Election Commission.

With the NDA heading toward a decisive victory, the BJP headquarters erupted into celebration. Workers surged past the iron gates, some cycling in from the old city, others spilling out of auto-rickshaws brimming with fluttering party flags, turning the street into a festive spectacle.

The party office`s courtyard changed colours with every firecracker, orange from the saffron smoke, grey from the debris, and red from the gulal smeared on jubilant faces.

Workers wearing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar masks held their position at the entrance, breaking into impromptu jigs each time the BJP tally flickered upward on the large LED screen fixed above the porch.

“Modi ka Parivar!” they roared in unison, waving miniature cut-outs of the PM.

Close by, women workers in saffron saris punched the air with scarves, chanting, “Bharat Mata ki Jai!”, “Narendra Modi zindabad!”, “Nitish Kumar zindabad!” The drumbeats were relentless, threatening to drown out even the fireworks.
