For the past few days, leopards have been on the rampage in Lauki village of Ambegaon taluka and there have been incidents of leopards attacking moving bikes. As the citizens have observed many times that leopards are roaming freely in this area, a two and a half year old male leopard has been imprisoned in a cage set up in the middle plantation of Laukigaon by the forest department to catch the leopard. The captive leopard has been taken into custody by the forest department and sent to the Manikdoh Leopard Sanctuary.
