IndiGo to increase flights to Manchester from Delhi and Mumbai

IndiGo, which began its long-haul operations with the Mumbai-Manchester service on July 1, will now also operate flights from Delhi to the British city from November 15, news agency PTI reported.

“Responding to strong booking momentum, IndiGo will further enhance its Winter capacity to Manchester, with the Delhi-Manchester-Delhi service increasing from 4x to 5x weekly starting 15 November 2025, and the Mumbai-Manchester-Mumbai frequency going up from 3x to 4x weekly from 17 November 2025,” the airline said in a statement on Thursday.

The additional flights will be operated with leased wide-body Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, PTI reported.

Air India expands its UK network, adds more Delhi-London flights

Air India on Thursday announced the addition of a fourth daily flight between Delhi and London (Heathrow) starting October 26, 2025, as part of its Northern Winter 2025 schedule, an official statement said.

With fresh addition, the airline increases its weekly frequency from 24 to 28 flights, adding over 1,100 seats each way per week on the high-demand route, it said.

The expansion strengthens Air India’s position as the largest airline between India and the UK, with around 1.7 million seats operated annually across routes connecting Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, and Amritsar to London Heathrow, London Gatwick, and Birmingham.

All flights on the Delhi-London Heathrow route will be operated using Air India’s new Airbus A350-900 and Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, offering travellers the airline’s latest cabin features across Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy Class.

Air India promises a refined travel experience, especially for premium passengers. Key highlights include:

Complimentary lounge access for Business and First Class travellers at Heathrow, with options including Air Canada, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, and United Club lounges, the statement said.

It said that over 3,000 hours of in-flight entertainment, including the largest collection of Indian content. Fine dining on board, featuring Indian and international cuisine and complimentary drinks

Air India reports high customer satisfaction, with a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of nearly 47 across the board, and even higher scores for Business and Premium Economy on the A350, it further stated.

In addition to the new Delhi-London flight, Air India has made several adjustments to its UK operations including the following-

– Mumbai-London Heathrow continues at 14x weekly

– Bengaluru-London Heathrow returns to daily flights (7x weekly)

– Ahmedabad-London Gatwick resumes (3x weekly) after temporary shift to Heathrow

– Amritsar-London Gatwick and Delhi-Birmingham continue at 3x weekly

– Amritsar-Birmingham remains at 3x weekly.
