Dharmendra, also known as the “He-Man of Hindi cinema,” is stable and healing, according to his daughter Esha Deol, who dismissed false allegations about his health that had been spreading online. The 89-year-old actor has been under medical supervision at Mumbai`s Breach Candy Hospital for more than a week.

Hema Malini took to her X handle to share that Dharmendra has been responding to the treatment, “What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and is recovering? This is being extremely disrespectful and irresponsible. Please give due respect to the family and its need for privacy.”
Esha Deol confirms that her father is doing well
Esha Deol took to social media to confirm that her father is recovering and encouraged everyone not to heed unconfirmed reports. She wrote, “The media seems to be in overdrive and spreading false news. My father is stable and recovering. We request everyone to give our family privacy. Thank you for the prayers for papa’s speedy recovery.”
Her statement comes amid a flood of misinformation claiming Dharmendra had died. Fans throughout the country may now breathe a sigh of relief as the Sholay star continues to receive medical care and is said to be responding well to treatment.
Earlier, Hema Malini had posted thanking fans for sending prayers for the legendary actor. She wrote, “I thank everyone for their concern about Dharam ji, who is in the hospital for observation. He is being continuously monitored, and we are all with him. I request you all to pray for his speedy recovery.”

Dharmendra will also appear in `Ikkis`, directed by Sriram Raghavan and starring Agastya Nanda. The film is slated to be released in December 2025.
