Thanks to their sacrifice
After winning an award for his performance in I Want To Talk at a recent award show, Abhishek Bachchan marked a milestone in his 25-year career and dedicated the honour to his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya. Visibly emotional as he took the stage, Abhishek said, “This year marks 25 years in the film industry, and I cannot remember how many times I’ve practised a speech for this award. This has been a dream.” He added, “To Aishwarya and Aaradhya, thank you for allowing me to follow my dreams. Their sacrifices are the reason I stand here today.” Directed by Shoojit Sircar, I Want To Talk follows a father’s emotional attempt to reconnect with his estranged daughter after learning he has just 100 days to live.
Not interested in acting
Janhvi Kapoor and Taimur Ali Khan
Despite hailing from Bollywood royalty, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan’s elder son, Taimur, appears uninterested in following in the footsteps of his parents. Speaking on Soha Ali Khan’s podcast, Kareena revealed, “Tim [Taimur] has no interest in drama or acting. Every time he had to choose an extra-curricular activity at school, he’d say, ‘No, I don’t enjoy it.’ So, I didn’t push it.” She added that he is more fascinated by sports stars than film personalities. “He keeps asking, ‘Are you friends with Rohit Sharma? With Virat Kohli? Do you have Lionel Messi’s contact?’ And I’m like, ‘No, I don’t have these contacts’.”
