Getting used to negativity

Prajakta Koli

Content creator and actor Prajakta Koli says she has grown “thick-skinned” after more than a decade of dealing with negativity and “baseless hate” online. Prajakta, who began at 21 and is now 32, said her formative years unfolded publicly, making her accustomed to relentless scrutiny. “I’ve become used to baseless hate, so it doesn’t affect me that much,” she told PTI in an interview, adding that constructive criticism still matters to her. The actor noted she never attended film school and learned “on the job”, which often leaves her feeling overwhelmed when she is on a set. Despite the pressures, she said she trusts her audience: “If something doesn’t work out, they won’t leave me. They’ll tell me.” On the work front, Prajakta will be seen in Kunal Kemmu’s web show Single Papa.
