A minor fire was reported at the kitchen area of McDonald’s inside a mall in Dadar area of central Mumbai, civic officials said on Friday, adding that the fire-fighting operations were underway.
The blaze was reported at the eatery located N C Kelkar Marg, opposite Shiv Sena Bhavan in Dadar (West), they said.
According to preliminary information from the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB), the incident was reported at 3:32 pm, and the MFB declared it a Level-1 (minor) fire at 3:48 pm.
Teams from the MFB, Mumbai Police, 108 ambulance services, and ward staff quickly rushed to the spot.
Firefighters managed to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to other parts of the building.
No injuries have been reported so far, and the cause of the fire is under investigation, officials said.
