Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar is all set to hit the theatres on December 5. Mounted on a mammoth scale, it is expected to be one of the highest-grossing films of 2025. However, the film has been in news for several reasons recently. After CBFC suggested changes and the film was granted an A certification, reports are rife that the 4-minute post-credit scene of the film will pique the excitement for part 2.
Dhurandhar to have 4-minute post-credit scene
As per reports by Pinkvilla, “Ranveer Singh starrer will have a 4-minute-long post-credits scene. This special sequence will act as a teaser of Dhurandhar 2, which is designed to take the excitement among the audience for the sequel a notch higher. The makers are still looking at multiple release options for the second part. However, there is a possibility that this exciting post-credit scene might also reveal the release date of Dhurandhar 2.”
With a runtime of 214.1 minutes, or 3 hours and 34 minutes, Dhurandhar stands out as the lengthiest film in Singh`s career. The Central Board of Film Certification has suggested several changes and granted the film an `A` certificate. At the beginning of the film, some visuals of violence were deleted and replaced with appropriate shots.
Similarly, in the second half, the CBFC members asked the makers to reduce the violent visuals. Besides, the character name of a minister was `suitably changed`. Finally, a cuss word was muted.
About Dhurandhar controversy
Aditya Dhar’s upcoming film Dhurandhar has run into legal trouble, with parents of late Major Mohit Sharma petitioning the Delhi High Court for a stay on the Ranveer Singh-starrer. The family alleges the film draws from the life of the decorated officer without any consent.
During the recent review, CBFC officials addressed the High Court`s query, whether the film Dhurandhar directly or indirectly depicts, resembles, or derives from Major Sharma`s life. The Board formally declared that the movie is a “purely fictional work” with no link to the officer.
Besides Ranveer Singh, the spy action drama also stars an ensemble cast that includes Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, and Sara Arjun.
