Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor share a warm hug at airport

Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor recently sparked fan excitement when they were photographed at the airport. The viral videos of the two embracing each other with hugs at the airport went global. It is unclear whether the two are travelling together.

The viral videos showed Deepika and Ranbir arriving at the airport in separate cars. As the `Rockstar` actor made his way through the airport, he noticed Deepika departing in an electric shuttle. When the `Bajirao Mastani` actress saw Ranbir, she stopped and hugged him before the two departed together.

Deepika Padukone was previously claimed to have been cast as a cameo in Sanjay Leela Bhansali`s Love & War, which also stars Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal in significant parts. Other than Deepika, Orry is likely to make a special appearance. According to a person familiar with the project, Orry will play a homosexual character who is Alia`s best friend. While Alia plays a cabaret dancer, Ranbir and Vicky will play Indian Armed Forces officers.

Deepika Padukone`s exit from Kalki 2 and Spirit

Vyjayanthi Movies revealed earlier this month that Deepika would no longer appear in the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD. In an official announcement about X, the makers issued a statement, `This is to officially announce that @deepikapadukone will not be a part of the upcoming sequel… After careful consideration, we have decided to part ways. … A film like Kalki 2898 AD deserves that commitment and much more.`

According to reports, her departure stemmed from failed negotiations, with demands for a fee increase, reduced working hours, and special accommodations for her team surfacing as important concerns.

Her exit from Sandeep Reddy Vanga`s Spirit earlier this year led to speculation. According to industry reports, Deepika requested profit sharing, an eight-hour workday, and a hefty wage increase, which the director refused to accept.

Deepika began shooting for Shah Rukh Khan`s King

Despite these recent fallouts, the actor remains one of Bollywood`s most bankable personalities and is tied to a number of prospective projects. Deepika Padukone finally addressed her exit from the Kalki 2898 AD sequel last month, along with thrilling news about reuniting with Shah Rukh Khan for King. Posting a picture of their hands joined together, she wrote,  “The very first lesson he taught me almost 18 years ago while filming Om Shanti Om was that the experience of making a movie, and the people you make it with, matter far more than its success. I couldn’t agree more and have applied that learning to every decision I’ve made since. And that’s probably why we’re back making our 6th movie together?”
