CR announces four additional festive special trains between Mumbai and Chhapra

To manage the festive rush of passengers, the Central Railway on Wednesday announced four additional festival special train services between Mumbai`s Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) and Chhapra.

The additional train services are meant to ensure smoother travel for people heading home for Diwali and Chhath Puja, officials said.

According to a statement issued by Dr Swapnil Nila, Chief Public Relations Officer, Central Railway, the details are as follows:

Train No. 05084 (Festival Special) will depart from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Mumbai, on Friday, 31 October 2025, at 14:00 hrs, and arrive in Chhapra at 04:45 hrs on the third day.

Train No. 05083 (Festival Special) will leave Chhapra on Wednesday, 29 October 2025, at 20:00 hrs, and reach Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Mumbai, at 12:00 hrs on the third day.

This train will include 10 AC 3-Tier Economy, 4 Sleeper Class, 4 Second Seating Chair Cars, 1 Second Sitting cum Guard’s Brake Van, and 1 Generator Van.
Similarly,

Train No. 05588 (Festival Special) will depart Lokmanya Tilak Terminus on Saturday, 1 November 2025, at 14:00 hrs, and reach Chhapra at 04:45 hrs on the third day.

Train No. 05587 (Festival Special) will leave Chhapra on Thursday, 30 October 2025, at 20:00 hrs, and reach Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Mumbai, at 12:00 hrs on the third day.

This train will have 2 AC 2-Tier, 6 AC 3-Tier, 2 AC 3-Tier Economy, 5 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class, 1 Second Sitting cum Guard’s Brake Van, and 1 Generator Van.

Both pairs of trains will halt at Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nashik Road, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Rani Kamplapati, Bina, Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi, Orai, Kanpur Central, Aishbagh, Badshahnagar, Gomti Nagar, Barabanki, Gonda, Basti, Gorakhpur, Kaptanganj, Ramkola, Padrauna, Thawe, Dighwa Dubauli, and Masrakh.

Bookings for Train Nos. 05084 and 05588 will open on 30 October 2025 at all computerised reservation centres and on the IRCTC website (www.irctc.co.in).

Passengers can also book unreserved tickets through the UTS system at normal superfast Mail/Express rates.
