Navi Mumbai Police Department saw a major boost to its infrastructure on Thursday, as Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the new Sanpada Police Station.
The ceremony marked another step towards enhancing policing facilities in the city.
The event witnessed the presence of several dignitaries, including Minister Ganesh Naik, MLAs Manda Mhatre and Prashant Thakur, Joint CP Sanjay Yenpure, and DCPs Pankaj Dahane (Zone 1), Amit Kale (Zone 2), and Prashant Mohite (Zone 3), among other senior officials like DCP Sanjay Patil, Crime ACP Ajay Landge, and ACP Mayur Bhujbal.

Following the inauguration, the Chief Minister proceeded to honour the efforts of the force, presenting the ISO standard certificate to Vashi Police Station`s Senior Police Inspector Shashikant Chandekar and two other officers.
CM Fadnavis also inspected the administrative arrangements at the Vashi Police Station, emphasising the importance of adherence to quality standards in police services.
Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner Milind Bharambe highlighted the significance of the new Sanpada Police Station and said, “The new Sanpada Police Station was developed by the Police Housing Corporation, and it will be helpful in managing law and order more effectively across the rapidly expanding city.”
Bharambe further added, “The police department`s commitment to modernising police infrastructure and processes was also reflected in the ISO certification awarded to Vashi Police Station for its high-quality management and public service. The new facility is expected to improve the police-to-citizen ratio and operational efficiency in the zone.”
