To cater to the festive travel demand during Dussehra and Diwali 2025, the Central Railway has decided to operate 230 special train services on the Solapur Division to ensure smooth and convenient travel for passengers across Maharashtra.
In a press release, the Central Railway stated that the services will run between September 25 and December 1, covering key routes such as Latur-Hadapsar, Mumbai-Latur, and Daund-Kalaburagi.
Latur–Hadapsar Special Trains (74 Services)
Train No 01429 will depart from Latur at 9.30 am on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between September 26 and November 28, reaching Hadapsar at 3.30 pm the same day.
The return service, Train No 01430, will depart Hadapsar at 4.05 pm and reach Latur at 9.20 pm.
These trains will stop at Harangul, Murud, Dharashiv, Barsi Town, Kurduvadi, Jeur, and Daund.
Each train will comprise 21 coaches, including air-conditioned (AC) First Class, AC-2 Tier, AC-3 Tier, Sleeper, and General Second Class compartments.
LTT Mumbai–Latur Weekly Special Trains (20 Services)
Train No 01007 will depart Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) Mumbai at 12.55 am every Sunday from September 28 to November 30 and arrive Latur at 1.30 pm.
The return service, Train No 01008, will depart Latur at 4 pm and reach LTT Mumbai at 4.50 am the following day.
The trains will halt at Thane, Kalyan, Lonavala, Pune, Daund, Kurduvadi, and Dharashiv.
Daund–Kalaburagi Unreserved Specials (136 Services Total)
Two sets of unreserved trains will run on this route:
Five-days-a-week Specials (96 Services): Train Nos 01421/01422 will run every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.
Bi-weekly Specials (40 Services): Train Nos 01425/01426 will operate every Thursday and Sunday.
The trains will stop at Bhigwan, Parewadi, Jeur, Kem, Kurduvadi, Madha, Mohol, Solapur, Tikekarwadi, Hotgi, Akalkot Road, Boroti, Dudhani, and Ganagapur. Each service will consist of 12 coaches, all General Second Class.

Reservations for these special trains are open at all computerised booking counters and on www.irctc.co.in. For unreserved tickets, passengers can use station booking counters or the UTS mobile app, stated Central Railway.

Realtors, CR team up to conduct blood donation drive at CSMT
The South MetroCity Association of Realtors (SMART), in collaboration with Nair Hospital Blood Bank and the Central Railway Mazdoor Sangh, successfully conducted a blood donation camp at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) on Monday.
The initiative, part of SMART’s ongoing corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts, received enthusiastic support from various stakeholders, including NSS students from the College of Home Science, Nirmala Niketan.
The camp collected 73 units of blood, which were handed over to the Nair Hospital Blood Bank.
