Bobby Deol says Aryan Khan has been through a lot: `No child should ever go`

Bobby Deol is one of the most promising actors in Bollywood today. The star, who was a heartthrob in the 90s, continues to rule hearts even now. He recently starred in Aryan Khan’s directorial debut The Ba***ds of Bollywood, in which he played superstar Ajay Talwar. In a recent interview, he opened up about star kids’ lives and shared how Aryan Khan has endured a lot.

During a podcast with Raj Shamani, Bobby was asked if he noticed any personal similarities between himself and Aryan. He replied, “I guess I wish I had the same fire like he has now. I mean, I started off with a lot of fire… but things got delayed for me a lot. Other than that, no, I think he’s very talented. I don’t know if I am that talented. He has this thing about him. He just attracts you.”

When asked if Aryan might be facing the same pressures Bobby did, he said, “Definitely. I’m sure he is. I mean, he has been through a lot more than I have, in many other ways, which no child should ever go through. But that’s the way the world is becoming right now.”

Bobby also recalled how times were simpler back then, while today’s kids are under immense pressure due to scrutiny and paparazzi culture. He further mentioned that he has kept his own kids away from the limelight.

It seems Bobby was subtly addressing Aryan Khan’s drug case. On October 3, 2021, Aryan was arrested along with six others by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in a drug-related case. He was detained as part of the investigation but was later cleared of all charges in May 2022.

Apart from this, Bobby is grabbing attention for his viral Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela song from Gupt, which is also featured in the series. The show stars him as superstar Ajay Talwar, who eyes a big launch for his daughter Karishma Talwar (Sahher) and ruins Aasman’s (Lakshya) career in the process. The series features several cameos and is filled with satirical digs at the entertainment industry.
