Actor Bobby Deol joined the grand Dussehra celebrations at Delhi`s historic Red Fort Grounds. He performed the symbolic act of Ravana Vadh, also known as Ravana Dahan. He stepped into the role of Lord Ram as he shot the ceremonial arrow to mark the victory of good over evil. The grand celebration captivated thousands who assembled at the iconic Red Fort grounds. Actor Nikhil Dwivedi also took part in the ceremony, joining Bobby on stage for the symbolic enactment of Ravana Vadh.

The actor looked stylish dressed in an ethnic, blue attire for the occasion, as he shot the ceremonial arrow to symbolically burn the effigy. The crowd soon erupted in cheers and whistles as he shot the arrow. Bobby`s presence drew massive crowds, with several people gathering to witness the iconic event at Delhi`s Red Fort area.

It was earlier announced that Bobby will be burning the effigy this year. The organisers had earlier shared a video announcing his participation. In the video, Bobby expressed his excitement about being part of the annual celebrations, saying, “Dilli ki Ramlila mein iss baar mai aa raha hai… Toh milte hain Dussehra par.”
Luv Kush Ramlila at Red Fort
The Luv Kush Ramlila at Red Fort is among the most iconic and well-known events in the country. It is known to blend mythology with modern spectacle and draw audiences from across Delhi and the surrounding regions. With Bobby Deol participating as the star guest this year, organisers acknowledged that the symbolic slaying of Ravana added dose of cinematic flair to the celebrations
In a statement, Arjun Kumar, president of the Luv Kush Ramlila Committee, noted that Bobby Deol holds deep spiritual beliefs. As he marks 30 years in the film industry, the actor decided to seek the blessings of Lord Ram and graciously accepted the committee`s invitation to participate in this iconic celebration in Delhi. Kumar further noted that over the years, several well-known film personalities, including Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Rohit Shetty, Akshay Kumar, South superstar Prabhas, and John Abraham, have participated in the Luv Kush Ramlila.
Notably, last year, the team of Singham Again, led by Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn, joined the Dussehra festivities at the Luv kush Ramlila and participated in the traditional burning of Ravana`s effigy.
Arjun Kumar had previously said, “Bobby Deol’s participation is expected to make this Dussehra even more spectacular and memorable.”
