Bigg Boss 19: Amaal Mallik gets heartfelt shoutout from mom Jyothi

Amaal Mallik has been making headlines for his stint in the Bigg Boss 19 house. He recently locked horns with veteran actress Kunickaa Sadanand, during which the two hurled abuses and dragged families. While a section of the audience slammed Amaal, his team and family came out in his support, calling the narrative baseless. Now, the singer has received a loving shoutout from his mom, Jyothi.

This comes days after Amaal’s brother, Armaan Malik, criticised the Bigg Boss makers for allegedly portraying the music composer in a negative light. “The way they edit promos to make Amaal look like he’s wrong and then hide how others are provoking and misbehaving is actually insane. This show and its toxicity are exhausting. Never liked it, never will. Just praying my brother stays healthy and sane through all this.”

About Amaal and Kunickaa’s fight

The message came after a recent episode that saw a major fight between Amaal Mallik and Abhishek Bajaj. The clash occurred during a task when Ashnoor Kaur was serving as the sanchalak. Both Amaal and Abhishek were locked in a cage and got into a heated exchange of words. Things escalated after Kunickaa Sadanand informed the other contestants about Amaal`s alleged comments and gestures, leading to a tense confrontation.

During Weekend Ka Vaar, host Salman Khan stepped in and came out in support of Amaal, lashing out at Kunickaa, Abhishek, and Nehal Chudasama for their behaviour.

The show has also been winning hearts outside the house, with housemates forming their own camps. The theme for this year is Gharwalon Ki Sarkaar. Popular names, including Gaurav Khanna, Kunika Sadanand, Ashnoor Kaur, Amaal Malik, and others, are in the race for the Bigg Boss trophy.

Hosted by Salman Khan, Bigg Boss 19 streams on JioHotstar at 9 p.m. before its TV telecast on Colors TV at 10:30 p.m.
