Aryan Khan`s directorial film with SRK to go on floors in 2027; REPORTS

Aryan Khan has been the buzz of the town, and properly so. After scoring a massive hit for Netflix India with The Ba***ds of Bollywood, Aryan has emerged as one of the industry`s most promising young voices. Many netizens have compared him to filmmaker Farah Khan, who is famed for skillfully mixing these different tones. Naturally, audiences are curious to see what Aryan will do next.

According to a recent Pinkvilla report, Aryan is preparing to direct his superstar father, Shah Rukh Khan, in a full-fledged feature film, which might begin production in 2027. According to the rumour, Aryan`s third film will include SRK in a major role. However, before that project begins, the 27-year-old filmmaker is working on another full-length picture, which will mark his theatrical debut. He is scheduled to work on the film with his father after finishing this forthcoming project.

Aryan Khan`s feature film to have SRK as lead

A source close to the project reported, “Aryan wants to deliver a theatrical success and prove himself as a filmmaker before taking on the challenge of directing his superstar father, Shah Rukh Khan.” Describing Aryan’s plan of action, the source added, “His idea is to earn that opportunity through merit and let his work speak for itself. If all goes as planned, Aryan’s third directorial will feature SRK in the lead. The father-son duo has already locked the core idea, but the collaboration is expected to take shape only in 2027. For now, Aryan is focused on completing the script of his second feature, which will soon enter the casting stage.”

Earlier, during a fans` Ask Me Anything, Shah Rukh Khan was asked, “Can we see your son directing you in a full-fledged movie?” To this, King Khan responded with his trademark wit, “If he can afford me!!! And my tantrums.”

Recent controversy over Aryan Khan and his series

While Aryan Khan`s debut show The Ba***ds of Bollywood has received widespread acclaim, not everyone agrees with its representation of the film industry. Actor and producer Vivek Vaswani, a former close friend of Shah Rukh Khan, expressed his genuine disappointment in an interview with Radio Nasha Official. He said, “What I felt was that when Shah Rukh came into the industry, the amount of love and respect that Aziz Mirza and Nirmala gave him, and that me and my mother gave him, and Saeed Mirza gave him… all of them gave him so much love, so much affection. So when did he come to the conclusion that Bollywood is a gutter and everyone in it is bad people? He is the one person who was treated with kid gloves as a rank outsider.”

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan is preparing for King, helmed by Siddharth Anand. The film`s first look was unveiled just a few days ago, on the superstar`s 60th birthday.
