Arjun Das to play antagonist against Ranveer Singh in Don 3

Farhan Akhtar`s Don 3 has been one of the most anticipated projects. However, it has faced a couple of casting setbacks after the stars were announced. Kiara Advani and Vikrant Massey had earlier quit the project. While Kiara has been replaced with Kriti Sanon, the hunt for Vikrant`s replacement is still on. If recent reports are to be believed, the makers are in talks with the Tamil actor Arjun Das to portray the antagonist in the film.

Arjun Das in Don 3?

The film has unfortunately experienced multiple delays and casting changes. According to the latest reports, there have been changes in the antagonist`s casting. Vikrant Massey was rumoured to be joining the movie as the villain, however, he reportedly left because of the character`s lack of nuance.

According to a Pinkvilla report, Tamil actor Arjun Das is being considered to play the antagonist. A source close to the production claimed, “Arjun has shown his interest too, as the character has multiple arcs and offers a lot more than just a run-of-the-mill antagonist.”

Arjun is a well-known actor in the Tamil film industry, best known for his powerful performances in movies like Master, Kaithi, and Good Bad Ugly. He has cemented himself with a reputation of giving his characters depth and menace. Don 3 will mark his big Bollywood debut if the deal is finalised. The paperwork with Arjun is expected to be completed in a fortnight, followed by an official announcement.

About Don 3

Interestingly, Kiara Advani was initially cast opposite Ranveer to play the female lead in Don 3. However, she reportedly left the project, and Kriti Sanon has now taken her place. The film`s producers are reportedly gearing up to start production in January 2026, while casting choices are being made.

According to reports, Ranveer Singh will go through rigorous workshops aimed at honing Don`s body language and mannerisms while simultaneously incorporating his own unique style into the iconic character.

Excel Entertainment is looking at shooting most of the film at real locations, including the big action sequences, to bring in an element of realism onto the big screen.
