Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and her cricketer husband Virat Kohli were recently seen arriving in Delhi. It was speculated that Kohli might meet football legend Lionel Messi during his India visit; however, he chose a quieter, spiritual visit to Vrindavan with his wife. The couple is known to be ardent followers of Premanand Maharaj and often visit his ashram.
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli visit Premanand Maharaj
The star batter and Bollywood actor visited Premanand Maharaj at his ashram, Shri Hit Radha Keli Kunj at Varah Ghat, where they engaged in an intimate spiritual interaction. Videos of the visit quickly went viral on social media, showing Anushka and Virat listening intently to the spiritual guru.
This marks the couple’s third visit to the Vrindavan ashram. Earlier in May, they had visited the Maharaj after Kohli announced his retirement from Test cricket. Kohli announced his retirement from Test cricket on Monday, drawing the curtains on a stellar red-ball career. He represented India in 123 Tests, scoring 9,230 runs at an average of 46.85, including 30 centuries.
Meanwhile, Virat was on a roll on the cricket field, scoring his second consecutive century in the ODI series against South Africa. Anushka shared a photo of Virat after his innings on social media with a red heart, expressing pride in his achievement. During the match, Kohli was seen kissing his wedding ring in a gesture of gratitude to his wife, which fans praised as a heartfelt moment.
When Palaash Muchhal visited Premanand Maharaj
Apart from Virat and Anushka, singer Palaash Muchhal also seems to have been inspired by the words of the Maharaj. Soon after his wedding with cricketer Smriti Mandhana was called off, the singer was seen visiting the ashram of Premanand Maharaj in Vrindavan. Palaash was seen seated with other devotees at the popular Premanand Maharaj’s ashram. He was wearing a mask as he listened to the Maharaj, who is also popular among cricketer Virat Kohli and actress Anushka Sharma. Palaash was accompanied by his mother. The duo called off their wedding on the day of their marriage ceremony on November 23 in Sangli.
