Aneet Padda as Shakti Shalini? Thamma`s leaked post credit scene drops hint

Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui-starrer Thamma is gearing up for the release. The upcoming romantic horror comedy film from the Maddock universe is set to release theatrically on October 21, 2025. Notably, the film marks the fifth instalment in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe. Ahead of its release, several glimpses from special screening have gone viral on social media and it has a twist no one expected.

Aneet Padda in Shakti Shalini

In one of the leaked pictures seemingly from Thamma’s post-credit scene Saiyaara actress Aneet Padda is seen in a glimpse from Maddock’s film Shalti Shalini. Notably, earlier several media reports suggested that Aneet has replaced Kiara Advani in Shalti Shalini. Nevertheless, there was no official confirmation about the same.

The new picture that is going viral on social media gives a glimpse from Thamma’s post-credit scene. Ever since the pic went viral on social media, netizens are convinced it is Aneet Padda’s look from Shakti Shalini. The photo features a woman in a white lehenga floating in the middle of a dense forest. Her back is to the camera, showing her braided hair however, her face remains hidden.

Kiara was reported to star in Shakti Shalini

In September 2025, Pinkvilla allegedly reported that producer Dinesh Vijan was impressed with Aneet’s work in Saiyaara, and had decided to cast her in Shakti Shalini. A source claimed, “Aneet Padda has been in discussions for Shakti Shalini for the last two months, as Dinesh Vijan was on the lookout to infuse his universe with new energies. He loved Aneet’s work in Saiyaara and has decided to mount the next chapter of the horror comedy universe on her.” Earlier, several reports suggested actress Kiara Advani was roped in for the role.

Just when the speculation of Aneet replacing Kiara was gaining steam, Maddock Films had issued an official statement. “While we truly value the excitement around our horror-comedy universe, we want to make it absolutely clear that any reports regarding the casting of the upcoming chapters, including Shakti Shalini and Maha Munjya, are purely speculative. We urge the media to avoid misinformation and to wait for official announcements from us,” the statement read.
