Rajat Bedi has been garnering immense love for his character Jaraj Saxena in Ba***ds of Bollywood, in an exclusive chat with mid-day, Rajat got candid about what made him return to India and also shared that he is keen on working with Sandeep Reddy Vanga for his upcoming project.
Rajat Bedi wishes to be a part of Sandeep Reddy Vanga`s films
Rajat Bedi would love to have a role in Sandeep Reddy Vanga`s film. Here`s why, “Somebody is saying, you have come back like Bobby. And I was like, oh my God, because the way Bobby has come back is like, it`s next level. With Sandeep Reddy Vanga and I am a huge fan of Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and I am dying to work with him because I know he likes these alpha male roles. He likes his protagonists strong, and I want to do that because I can offer him what he likes, his six three-footers and all that. And the way he has presented Bobby and Ranbir has been crazy. I am manifesting this. Just pray you see me in Animal Park or Spirit.”
Rajat gets candid about what made him come back to India after 14 years, “The confidence that made me and my family come back was Aryan`s call. And it`s been a while since I`ve always had in my heart that I want to launch my son. I want to bring my son to the film line. He is also aware that Papa wants me to become an actor. And he was training there as well, in Canada. In Vancouver, he used to go to dance classes. Shiamak`s dance classes over there. And then he would pursue being fit in the gym. Then he would pursue Hindi diction over there also. Had classes for him. So, that was the beginning. Because now, after he turned 18, I was like, Son, you start preparing little by little. You never know what will happen. For coming to India.”
Rajat Bedi recalls getting cheated
Rajat went on to share how many people in India and Canada broke his trust and cheated him, “Especially with getting setbacks with the people who used me and abused me. That second time, it happened twice. Once in 2012, once in 2018. In 2018, it was a bigger jerk than in 2012. The people whom you considered your own they were the ones who betrayed you the most. The people whom you considered your family. That broke our hearts in Canada. This led to court cases and things; later, another family friend helped us with a settlement and things. And then we were heartbroken with Canada. Because here, people use and abuse. Here, they don`t do that with you. The journeys here are different. But the journey there was different. When Aryan`s offer came, we were like, let`s do it. This is the sign.”
