Ahead of the India Maritime Week 2025 exhibition, which will be held from October 27 to 31 at NESCO Exhibition Centre in Goregaon (East), the Mumbai Police have announced temporary traffic curbs to manage congestion around the venue. The event, themed on maritime excellence, is expected to attract citizens, VIPs, and dignitaries.
The Jogeshwari Traffic Division has issued the advisory, with restrictions effective daily from 8 am to 10 pm.
Traffic measures
No-entry zones: Vehicles are barred from the stretch from Mrinaltai Gore Junction to NESCO gap. Only those belonging to emergency services, VIPs, and local residents will be allowed to ply on the stretch. The right turn from Mrinaltai Gore Junction towards NESCO Gap via Ram Mandir Road will remain closed. The service road from Hub Mall towards NESCO/Jaycoach Junction will also be shut.
One-way movement: The stretch from NESCO gap to Mrinaltai Gore Junction will operate as one-way.
Alternative routes from Ram Mandir direction: Mrinaltai Gore Flyover–Mahananda Dairy WEH South Service Road–Jaycoach Junction–JVLR Junction.
Alternative routes from JVLR Junction: Towards Powai via JVLR or Mumbai via WEH Service Road to main WEH.
No-parking zones: Nine roads affected include Western Express Highway (north and south bound), NESCO Service Road, Ghas Bazaar Road, Western Express Highway Service Road (north and south bound), Trauma Care Hospital Service Road, service road in front of Mahananda Dairy, Vannrai Police Station Service Road, Nirlon Company Service Road, and Ashok Nagar Service Road.

Mumbai Police have announced temporary traffic regulations ahead of the Chhath Puja 2025 celebrations on October 27 and 28.
The festival, widely observed by devotees from eastern states, is expected to draw large crowds to Juhu Beach. The Santacruz Traffic Division, under the provisions of the Maharashtra Police Act and the Motor Vehicles Act, will enforce the traffic measures from 2 pm on October 27 to 11 am on October 28, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic, Western Suburbs), Ajit Borhade.
Key restrictions for Chhath Puja
No-entry zones: The stretch from Santacruz Police Station Junction to Juhu Beach via Tulip Star Hotel Junction will be closed to all vehicles except those involved in the puja activities. Vehicles from Link Road heading to Juhu Tara Road must take a right at Santacruz Police Station Junction, then left at Standard Chartered Bank Junction, and proceed via Swami Vivekananda Road, the police said.
One-way traffic: To facilitate smooth vehicular flow, the AB Nair Road from Church Road to Balraj Sahani Marg will remain one-way.
Alternative routes: Motorists may use NS Road No 13 via Juhu Church Road or Alfredo Cirodo Road. Vehicles coming from Tulip Star Hotel Junction towards Juhu Tara Road shall be diverted via VM Road to reach their destination.
U-turn restriction: U-turns in front of Hotel Maharaja Bhog on Juhu Tara Road from the south side will remain closed for vehicles processing from the south side of Juhu Tara Road towards Juhu Koliwada via Hotel Tulip Star. Instead, motorists may use the U-turn available at Juhu Koliwada Junction.
