Raghav Juyal on his camaraderie with Aryan Khan

When asked how he approached the role, Raghav says, “Initially, I didn’t have much of a role written in the script, and I mentioned it to Aryan. He assured me that he had full faith in me and knew exactly what he was making me do, believing that Parvaiz would turn out to be the most loved character in the series.”

He adds, “Aryan used to show every actor how to perform the scene, but he never did that with me. We discussed the scene and did things on the spot. We understand each other.”

Raghav Juyal on Ranveer Singh

The series features several cameos, and one of them is Ranveer Singh. On sharing screen space with him, Raghav says, “He’s such a fun person, and working with him was absolutely crazy. Ek toh humlogon ki energies aisi hai ki Aryan ko control karna padta tha hum dono ko (Our energies were so high that Aryan often had to step in to control us). We’d be laughing, goofing around, even falling over. I truly enjoyed it, and his cameo turned out to be amazing. I feel we can definitely work together again.”

The Kill actor also opened up about his scene with Emraan Hashmi and shared it was Aryan’s idea to include the song. He also stated how the tears and shivering expressions added value to the scene.

Raghav Juyal on King with Shah Rukh Khan

Talking about the similarity between Aryan and Shah Rukh Khan, Raghav remarks, “Aryan has his own individuality, and that’s what makes him such a phenomenal director. The similarity between him and SRK is they cannot be number two; they have to stand first. That’s the reason Aryan always wanted the show to be number one.”

Raghav further calls Shah Rukh Khan his mentor and reveals how The Ba***ds of Bollywood got him the second big project of his career, King. He says, “The best part is that because of this series, he gave me another important role. He trusts me a lot, and having seen my journey, he really understands me. Giving me a second project with an even bigger role means so much. I truly respect that family.”

He also recalled the moment when SRK praised him while shooting a scene. “I was doing a scene that even SRK was part of, and he clapped for me, hugged me, and kissed me on the forehead. He said, ‘Kamaal kar diya.’ It felt amazing because while other actors might cut a scene, he is so secure in his craft that he supports people and true talent. That’s exactly why he is the king.”

He also recalled his initial reaction when he was briefed about the funeral scene inspired by K3G. “I was in tears when Aryan told me about the scene. He briefed me about it and said that like SRK, you will come in the scene. Meri toh zindagi badal gayi.”

On a parting note, Raghav expressed his excitement about being a part of Nani’s Paradise and said, “It’s amazing they are making a pan-world film, and the experience is different altogether.”
