An IndiGo flight from Cochin International Airport to Hamad International Airport in Doha was diverted to Mumbai on Tuesday evening after a medical emergency on board, sources said.
Flight 6E1323, which took off from Cochin at 5:48 pm, made a landing at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) in Mumbai at 7:23 pm, they said.
The airline was yet share further details regarding the nature of the medical emergency. However, standard emergency protocols were followed, and the airport`s medical team was on standby as the aircraft landed.
“The passenger was de boarded and taken to the medical unit at airport,” sources said.
