Mumbai traffic cops step in to fill potholes in Kandivali

In a commendable display of responsibility, police officers from the Kandivali Traffic Division in Mumbai on Tuesday took matters into their own hands and repaired a large pothole in the middle of the road while being on duty.

The pothole was located near Bhoomi Mart at Buffera Naka in Charkop. Due to heavy rainfall since Sunday night, it had filled with water, becoming difficult to spot and causing minor accidents.

On noticing the risk, traffic police officials Prakash Chavan, Bonde, Thakur, Kadam, Bhilare, Gharat, and Suryavanshi took quick action. They worked together to arrange for concrete to be filled into the pothole during their duty hours, ensuring the safety of commuters.

With heavy monsoon rains in Mumbai, several roads in the city have developed potholes.

Meanwhile, the traffic cops timely intervention has helped prevent further mishaps and showed the police force’s commitment towards the public.
