The much-awaited preview of The Ba***ds of Bollywood was launched on Wednesday by none other than Shah Rukh Khan. The preview of Aryan Khan`s directorial debut was released amid much fanfare at a grand event. As the King actor turned host for the event, he did not miss an opportunity to keep the audience entertained, and well, give back to trolls as well.
Shah Rukh Khan addresses trolls
Before launching the preview to the media at the event, Shah Rukh started off by saying that he knows the audience will have a lot of questions which they would want him to answer. He first addressed his visbly broken hand, saying, “I injured my shoulder, had a slightly major surgery. I will take one or two months to recover from the injury.”
But he didn`t stop there, he used the topic to wittily take a dig at the trolls and individuals who criticised him for winning the National Award recently. “Lekin National Award uthane ke liye, mera ek haath hi kaafi hai (My one hand is enough to lift the National Award)”, he continued, saying it with his signature swag. He then continued to say that he manages to do most of the things with one hand, like eating, brushing and more, but there`s only one thing where he feels the need of both his hands, and that was embracing the love of his fans.
Shah Rukh about The Ba***ds of Bollywood
At the event Shah Rukh Khan also introduced the cast of the show in his style and playful humour. The cast includes Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, and Vijayant Kohli with Rajat Bedi and Gautami Kapoor.
There was also a moment at the event that had the crowd buzzing, where Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan Khan took the stage to introduce the world of The Ba***ds of Bollywood.
Shah Rukh Khan also reflected on the pride of watching a new voice in Aryan emerge, saying, “It’s a proud moment to see Aryan carve out his vision with such clarity and edge. This is storytelling that’s sharp, self-aware, and unapologetically bold, and I think audiences on Netflix will connect to the heart of it as much as its style.”
