The examinations scheduled for August 8, 2025 under the faculties of Arts, Science, Commerce, Education, and Pharmacy, as well as those under the Centre for Distance & Online Education (CDOE), have been postponed due to the holiday for Narali Purnima, an official statement from Mumbai University said on Thursday.
According to a notification issued on Thursday, the revised examination dates will be announced later.
“All principals of affiliated colleges and the Director of CDOE have been requested to inform the concerned students without delay,” it said.
The Government of Maharashtra on Thursday issued an official corrigendum updating two public holidays for Mumbai and its suburban districts. The amendment modifies an earlier notification of last year.
Narali Purnima (August 8) and Jyeshtha Gauri (September 2) will be observed as public holidays, it said.
