From Amritsar to Delhi: Punjabi Food Festival Brings North India’s Flavours to 7 Isles, Marriott Navi Mumbai

Navi Mumbai, June 22, 2025 — For those craving the rich, robust flavours of North India, Navi Mumbai has a culinary celebration not to be missed. The acclaimed 7 Isles restaurant at Marriott, Navi Mumbai, has transformed into a food lover’s haven, hosting a Punjabi Food Festival from June 19 to 29, bringing the soul of Punjab right to your plate.

In a specially curated menu inspired by the legendary food streets of Amritsar, Delhi, and Ludhiana, the festival offers an authentic journey through Punjab’s culinary heritage. Think ghee-dripping Parathas from Paranthe Wali Gali, spicy and indulgent Chole Bhature, rich Butter Chicken, aromatic Mutton Rara, velvety Dal Makhani, and the creamy, frothy delight of Punjabi Lassi served just the way it’s enjoyed in bustling dhabas.

Chef Kashish Sharma, the mind behind this gastronomic celebration, shared his vision:

“I wanted to recreate the experience of eating in Punjab’s lanes — where every dish is full of character, tradition, and love. Each item on the menu is crafted with the finest ingredients and true-to-origin spices. Whether it’s the tangy chutneys or the slow-cooked curries, it’s all about authenticity and heart.”

The highlight of the festival so far has been a special visit from celebrity influencer Randeep Gujral, widely known as @TurbanMirchie on social media. Known for his passionate exploration of Indian cuisine, Gujral had high praise for the 7 Isles experience.

“The Chole Bhature and Chole Kulche here took me straight to the bustling bylanes of Amritsar. It’s not easy to get that balance of spice, texture, and soul — but Chef Kashish and his team have nailed it,” he said.

From Tandoori starters to slow-cooked gravies, and ending with sweet indulgences like Gur Ka Halwa and Phirni, the menu is designed to satisfy both nostalgic palates and curious newcomers. The restaurant’s elegant yet warm ambience complements the festival perfectly, combining five-star service with the earthy vibrance of Punjab.

Guests can opt for à la carte dining or curated tasting platters that showcase a spectrum of regional flavours. The festival also includes live stations, where chefs prepare Amritsari Fish Fry and Paneer Tikka right in front of diners, adding a touch of theatre to the dining experience.

Located within the opulent Marriott property in Navi Mumbai, 7 Isles has already built a reputation for its regional Indian focus — and this festival further strengthens its position as a destination for gourmet explorers.

Don’t miss this culinary celebration of North India. Whether you’re a lover of hearty Punjabi fare or looking to discover the vibrant flavours of the region for the first time, 7 Isles promises a feast to remember.
