Four injured after fire breaks out at bakery in Byculla

Four people were injured after a fire broke out at a bakery in Byculla area of Mumbai, the civic officials said on Monday.

The officials said that the blaze was reported at Super Bakery, located on Seth Motishah Lane in Byculla (East).

After receiving the information regarding the blaze, the Mumbai Fire Brigade officials rushed to the spot and began a firefighting operation.

“A Level-1 fire broke out on Monday evening and the incident was reported to the civic authorities at around 5:27 pm,” the officials said.

The fire was confined within the bakery premises and was brought under control and fully extinguished by 6:40 pm, they said.

Four people sustained burn injuries in the incident they were identified as Jayesh Parab, 46, Zuber Siddique, 25, Javed Mohammad, 23 and Shahariyar, 36.

The injured were shifted to Masina Hospital for medical treatment, the officials said.
