The teachers of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation`s schools staged a protest on Friday over a slew of issues including their right to pension. The teachers had gathered outside the Education Officer`s office which is located in the premises of civic-run Triveni Sangam school.
The teachers also raised issues during their protest which affected the education of the school-going children. The BMC teachers, who had gathered in large numbers, were seen holding placards, posters and banners listing their demands and sloganeering.

BMC teachers` protest: Retired teachers participate too
While some protesting teachers work for civic-run schools, some work with BMC-aided schools. Retired civic teachers also joined the protest staged near Currey Road bridge.
