Dharmendra death: Govinda`s wife Sunita Ahuja extends heartfelt condolences

Dharmendra`s demise has left the industry in shock. He passed away due to age-related illnesses on Monday (November 24) in his Mumbai house. When he passed away, his family was by his side. His lifeless remains were transported to the Pawan Hans cremation under strict police protection. Dharmendra has been sick since the beginning of the month. The actor`s 90th birthday festivities were in full force.

Dharmendra`s sons Bobby and Sunny, as well as the renowned actor`s grandchildren Karan and Rajveer, were at the crematorium to oversee the burial arrangements. Hema Malini maintained her composure when she arrived for her husband`s last rites. Dharmendra`s bereaved daughter Esha Deol attended the last rites.

Sunita Ahuja mourns the demise of Dharmendra

Mourning the demise of the legendary Sunita Ahuja exclusively shared about her last meeting with Dharmendra. She also revealed how he had been her childhood crush, “I was very sad; he was my childhood crush. The last time we met was when I had visited him during Ganesh Chaturthi. Esha Deol had hosted us at their home, and my son Yash and I went there. We met Dharmendra ji and Hema ji there. 2 years back, we had even shared a stage, and I had danced with Dharamji at a reality show. My heart goes out to the family, and my deepest condolences to them. Dharamji was a legend, and the industry will surely remember him fondly. Matarani unki aatma ko shaanti de.” 

Govinda had visited Dharmendra at the hospital, as well as now he has arrived at the crematorium to pay his last respects to the legendary actor. 

Dharmendra to be seen in Ikkis for one last time

Hours before Dharmendra passed away, the directors of his final film, Ikkis, published his character poster on social media with the statement,  “Fathers raise sons. Legends raise nations. Dharmendra ji, an emotional powerhouse as the father of a 21-year-old immortal soldier. One timeless legend brings us the story of another.”

Dharmendra`s last on-screen appearance will be in Ikkis, directed by Sriram Raghavan. The film will be released on December 25. He was previously seen Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya with Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon.
