In an extremely tragic incident in Andehri (E), fire broke out during the early hours of Sunday at a Honda showroom located on Chandivali Farm Road, opposite Kamani Oil Gate, Andheri (East). The incident was first reported at 12:38 a.m. on November 9, by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB).
According to officials who rushed to the spot immediately after receiving the information, the fire was confined to the showroom premises, and no injuries or casualties were reported.
The Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) further declared it a Level-I fire at 12:48 a.m., indicating a minor blaze that required prompt but limited firefighting response.
Multiple fire engines and water tankers were rushed to the spot to contain the flames. Firefighters battled for several hours before successfully extinguishing the blaze at around 6:12 a.m, as per the information received by the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB).
While the cause of the fire remains under investigation, officials confirmed that operations were conducted to prevent any re-ignition. The timely response by the MFB ensured that the fire did not spread to nearby establishments and the situation across the area remained under control.
Fire breaks out in Shivshahi bus near Matunga Police Station
In another tragic scenario, fire broke out in a Shivshahi State Transport bus on Dr BA Road, opposite Matunga Police Station in Mumbai, on Saturday evening.
According to officials from the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB), the incident was reported at around 6 pm, and the fire was brought under control by 6.36 pm. Around 30 to 40 passengers were safely evacuated from the vehicle, and no injuries were reported, MFB said.
Furthermore, The blaze was confined to the bus, and the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
Firefighters and police personnel were present at the spot, ensuring the situation was contained swiftly.
